COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES, UNSUBSCRIBE AND OPT-OUT POLICY
Last Updated: August 25, 2026
This Communication Preferences, Unsubscribe and Opt-Out Policy (“Policy”) explains how you may manage marketing communications sent by or on behalf of Dralic Inc. d/b/a WhaleMaven, operator of AskWhaley (“WhaleMaven,” “AskWhaley,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Policy applies to marketing communications associated with askwhaley.com, including communications relating to financial products, insurance products, home-improvement services, home services, and other products or services presented through AskWhaley.
We respect your communication preferences. You may revoke previously provided marketing consent or request that certain communications stop at any time through the methods described below.
An opt-out request will not affect the lawfulness of communications made before we received and processed the request.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to marketing communications that WhaleMaven sends directly or that are sent on WhaleMaven’s behalf.
These communications may include:
• Marketing emails;
• Promotional text messages;
• Automated or manually initiated telephone calls;
• Prerecorded or artificial-voice calls;
• Follow-up communications concerning a submitted inquiry;
• Promotional postal mail; and
• Other marketing or advertising communications.
Because AskWhaley is an online advertising, marketing, lead-generation, referral, and call-connection platform, applicable information may also be transmitted to independent participating providers or Marketing Partners in connection with a product or service you request, select, or otherwise affirmatively express interest in, subject to applicable disclosures, consent, and law.
Those third parties may include:
• Lenders;
• Lending marketplaces;
• Banks or financial-services providers;
• Insurance carriers;
• Insurance agencies;
• Licensed insurance agents or brokers;
• Health-insurance or Medicare-related providers;
• Roofing contractors;
• Plumbing providers;
• HVAC providers;
• Solar providers;
• Home-improvement contractors;
• Home-service providers;
• Lead marketplaces;
• Advertising partners; and
• Other providers associated with your inquiry.
Opting out from WhaleMaven does not necessarily opt you out from every independent third party that already received your information. Section 9 explains how partner opt-outs are handled.
2. Marketing Email Opt-Out
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails sent by or on behalf of WhaleMaven by:
1. Clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in the marketing email; or
2. Emailing hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
UNSUBSCRIBE EMAIL
To help us locate the correct record, your request should identify the email address you want unsubscribed.
You are not required to:
• Pay a fee;
• Create or log into an account;
• Provide information beyond what is reasonably necessary to identify the email address;
• Purchase any product or service; or
• Explain why you wish to unsubscribe.
We will process valid email-marketing opt-out requests as soon as reasonably practicable and no later than the period required by applicable law, which is generally within 10 business days for commercial email.
You may receive marketing emails during the brief period required to process your request.
After you unsubscribe, we may retain your email address on a suppression list so that we can honor your request and avoid sending future marketing emails to that address.
3. SMS and Text-Message Opt-Out
You may revoke consent to receive marketing text messages from WhaleMaven at any time.
The simplest method is to reply:
STOP
to the text-message thread from which you received the message.
Depending on the messaging program, other customary opt-out words may also be recognized, including:
• CANCEL;
• END;
• QUIT;
• REVOKE;
• OPT OUT;
• UNSUBSCRIBE.
You may also request an SMS opt-out by emailing hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
STOP SMS
Please include the telephone number for which you are requesting the opt-out.
After submitting an SMS opt-out request, you may receive one final non-marketing message confirming that your request has been processed. You should not receive additional marketing text messages from the applicable WhaleMaven messaging program after the request becomes effective unless you later provide renewed consent.
Message and data rates may apply to messages sent or received before the opt-out is completed.
We will process a valid revocation request as soon as reasonably practicable and within the period required by applicable law.
4. Telephone Call Opt-Out
You may ask WhaleMaven to stop making marketing calls to a particular telephone number at any time.
You may make this request by:
• Telling the caller that you do not wish to receive further marketing calls;
• Asking the caller to place your number on the company-specific do-not-call list; or
• Emailing hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
DO NOT CALL
Please include the telephone number that should be suppressed.
You may use plain language when making a request. You are not required to use a particular legal phrase. Statements such as the following should be treated as opt-out requests when made to WhaleMaven or a caller acting on our behalf:
• “Do not call me again.”
• “Remove me from your call list.”
• “Stop calling this number.”
• “I revoke my consent to receive calls.”
• “Place me on your do-not-call list.”
Once we identify a valid request, we will add the applicable number to our internal suppression or company-specific do-not-call list and process the request within the period required by applicable law.
A do-not-call request applies to marketing calls. It does not necessarily prevent communications that are non-marketing, legally required, fraud-related, security-related, or otherwise permitted by law.
5. Revocation by Any Reasonable Method
You may revoke consent to marketing communications through any reasonable method that clearly communicates your desire to stop receiving the applicable type of communication.
A request will be treated as valid when it reasonably communicates the consumer's desire to stop the applicable marketing communications and provides sufficient information for WhaleMaven to identify the applicable contact information or communication:
1. Which person or contact information is involved;
2. Which communication channel should stop; and
3. Whether the request applies to a particular campaign or all WhaleMaven marketing communications.
We will not require a consumer to use particular words, legal terminology, or exclusively use one designated method where applicable law recognizes another reasonable method of revocation.
However, providing the relevant email address or telephone number helps us locate and suppress the correct record.
6. Comprehensive WhaleMaven Marketing Opt-Out
To request that WhaleMaven stop all marketing communications to the contact information you identify, email:
hello@askwhaley.com
Use the subject line:
OPT OUT OF ALL MARKETING
Your request should include the applicable:
• Full name;
• Email address;
• Telephone number; and
• Mailing address, if you also wish to stop postal marketing.
A comprehensive marketing opt-out may apply to:
• WhaleMaven marketing emails;
• WhaleMaven marketing text messages;
• WhaleMaven marketing telephone calls; and
• WhaleMaven promotional postal mail.
It does not automatically revoke consent separately provided to an independent third party, nor does it necessarily require deletion of your personal information.
For deletion, access, correction, or sale-and-sharing requests, please follow the privacy-rights process described in our Privacy Policy and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
7. Postal-Mail Opt-Out
To request that WhaleMaven stop sending promotional postal mail, email hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
STOP POSTAL MAIL
Please provide the full name and mailing address shown on the promotional material.
We will use the information supplied to identify and suppress the applicable address from future WhaleMaven postal-marketing campaigns, subject to reasonable processing time and applicable law.
Postal material already printed, prepared, or transferred for mailing before the request was processed may still be delivered.
8. Transactional and Non-Marketing Communications
An opt-out from marketing does not necessarily prevent us from sending communications that are not marketing communications.
Where permitted by law, we may continue to send communications reasonably necessary to:
• Confirm receipt of an inquiry;
• Confirm or administer an opt-out request;
• Respond to a customer-service request;
• Respond to a privacy-rights request;
• Provide legal notices;
• Provide security or fraud alerts;
• Investigate suspected misuse;
• Maintain suppression records;
• Enforce our Terms of Use;
• Resolve a dispute;
• Fulfill a legal or regulatory obligation; or
• Complete a transaction or request initiated by you.
We will not use a purportedly transactional communication as a pretext for sending marketing content where doing so would be unlawful.
9. Communications From Independent Partners
AskWhaley is an online advertising, marketing, lead-generation, referral, and call-connection platform. When you submit a request, AskWhaley may disclose applicable information to independent participating providers or Marketing Partners in accordance with your request, the consumer-facing disclosures or consent presented during the applicable interaction, our Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
Submitting a request for one product or service does not by itself constitute consent to receive marketing communications concerning every other product or service available through AskWhaley.
If AskWhaley is unable to connect you with a participating provider for your original request, the rejection, expiration, non-purchase, or inability to fulfill that request does not by itself constitute consent to receive marketing communications concerning another product or service.
Where you affirmatively request, select, express interest in, or otherwise provide applicable consent for an additional product or service, communications concerning that additional request may be made in accordance with the applicable disclosure, consent, and law.
Once an independent third party receives your information, it may maintain its own systems, consent records, suppression lists, privacy practices, and communication programs.
Opting Out From a Particular Partner
To stop communications from a specific lender, insurer, agent, contractor, marketplace, or other partner, you should use the opt-out method provided in that party’s communication.
For example, you may:
• Reply STOP to that party’s text message;
• Click the unsubscribe link in that party’s email;
• Ask that party not to call again;
• Contact that party through its privacy or customer-service channels; or
• Follow the opt-out instructions in that party’s privacy policy.
Requests Sent to WhaleMaven
You may notify us at hello@askwhaley.com that a particular partner is continuing to contact you.
Use the subject line:
PARTNER COMMUNICATION OPT-OUT
Please identify:
• Your name;
• The telephone number or email address being contacted;
• The partner’s name, if known;
• The communication channel involved;
• The approximate date of the communication; and
• A brief description of your request.
We may make reasonable efforts to:
• Identify the partner;
• Record your complaint;
• Relay the request to the partner;
• Suppress your information from future transfers to that partner; or
• Take other appropriate action.
However, because independent partners control their own communication systems, WhaleMaven cannot guarantee that it can directly process an opt-out within a third party’s systems.
You should also submit the opt-out directly to the party contacting you.
10. Future Sharing With New Partners
A request to stop calls, texts, or emails is not necessarily the same as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information under applicable state privacy law.
To request that WhaleMaven stop selling or sharing your personal information with new third parties for purposes covered by applicable privacy laws, you may:
• Visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page; or
• Email hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may need to obtain information reasonably necessary to:
• Identify you;
• Locate the relevant records;
• Understand the scope of your request;
• Verify the request when required; and
• Maintain a record showing that the request was honored.
A sale-or-sharing opt-out generally applies prospectively. It may not require a third party to return or delete information lawfully received before your request became effective.
To request deletion of previously collected information, you must separately submit a deletion request under our Privacy Policy.
Likewise, an opt-out from sale or sharing does not necessarily constitute an unsubscribe from marketing communications. These are separate consumer choices and should be exercised through the applicable mechanisms described in this Policy and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information / Your Privacy Choices notice.
11. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals
Where required by applicable law, WhaleMaven will process legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as a valid Global Privacy Control signal, as a request to opt out of applicable sale or sharing activities for the browser or device from which the signal is received.
Browser-based signals may not identify you by name or apply across every browser, device, account, email address, or telephone number you use.
For a broader request, you should also contact us directly and provide the information necessary to identify the relevant records.
A browser signal is not necessarily an unsubscribe request for email, telephone, or SMS communications. Those communication channels should be managed using the methods described in this Policy.
12. National Do Not Call Registry
Consumers may separately register eligible personal telephone numbers with the United States National Do Not Call Registry.
Registration with the National Do Not Call Registry is separate from making a company-specific request to WhaleMaven or one of its independent partners.
Even when a number is registered nationally, you should tell a specific caller to stop calling if you no longer wish to receive calls from that company.
Certain categories of calls may be treated differently under applicable law. Registering a number does not necessarily prevent every lawful call, including certain non-marketing or otherwise exempt communications.
13. Processing Time
We aim to process communication opt-out requests promptly.
Applicable processing periods may differ by communication type and governing law.
In general:
• Marketing-email opt-outs will be processed within 10 business days;
• Requests to revoke consent for automated marketing calls or texts will be processed as soon as reasonably practicable and within the period required by applicable law;
• Postal-mail requests may require additional time because materials may already have been prepared or mailed;
• Privacy-law requests will be processed within the period specified by the applicable privacy law; and
• Requests involving independent partners may depend on that partner’s systems and procedures.
We may retain records of your request after processing it to demonstrate compliance and prevent future unwanted marketing.
14. Renewed Consent
After opting out, you may later choose to provide new consent to receive marketing communications.
Renewed consent should be:
• Affirmative;
• Clear;
• Associated with the relevant contact information;
• Supported by an appropriate disclosure; and
• Obtained in a manner permitted by applicable law.
A new inquiry, form submission, telephone call, website visit, or request for another product or service does not automatically override an earlier communication opt-out.
Where renewed consent is required, the applicable consumer interaction must clearly request and record renewed consent for the applicable communication channel and purpose in a manner permitted by law.
Renewed consent for one communication channel or purpose does not automatically restore consent for every other communication channel, product, service, or purpose.
Where your new consent conflicts with an existing suppression request, we may take reasonable steps to verify that you intentionally wish to receive communications again.
15. Contact Information Changes
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information.
If you relinquish, transfer, disconnect, or stop using a telephone number or email address previously submitted through AskWhaley, you should notify us so that we can update our records.
Email hello@askwhaley.com with the subject line:
CONTACT INFORMATION CHANGE
Include the old contact information and identify the communication that should stop.
This helps prevent communications intended for you from being sent to a new subscriber or user of the contact information.
16. Duplicate Records and Alternate Contact Information
We may have more than one record associated with you because you:
• Submitted multiple inquiries;
• Used multiple email addresses;
• Used multiple telephone numbers;
• Submitted information through different advertisements or forms;
• Used different spellings or addresses; or
• Interacted with more than one product category.
An opt-out can be applied only to records that we can reasonably identify.
To help us apply your request comprehensively, provide each email address and telephone number you want suppressed.
We will not require information beyond what is reasonably necessary to identify and process the request.
17. Suppression Records
When you opt out, WhaleMaven may retain limited information in a suppression record.
A suppression record may include:
• Email address;
• Telephone number;
• Name;
• Request date;
• Request source;
• Communication channel;
• Scope of the request;
• Processing status;
• Relevant campaign or partner;
• Consent or revocation record; and
• Other information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance.
Retention of a suppression record does not mean that we will continue marketing to you.
Deleting the suppression record could cause your information to be added to a marketing list again. For this reason, suppression information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to honor your request, comply with law, resolve disputes, and maintain compliance records.
18. Authorized Agents
Where applicable law allows an authorized agent to make a privacy-related opt-out request for you, we may require information reasonably necessary to verify:
• The agent’s identity;
• The agent’s authority to act for you;
• Your identity; and
• The scope of the request.
Routine communication opt-outs, such as replying STOP to a text or clicking an email unsubscribe link, generally do not require formal identity verification.
We will not request more personal information than reasonably necessary to process or verify the request.
19. No Discrimination for Exercising Privacy Rights
Where prohibited by law, WhaleMaven will not discriminate against you because you exercised an applicable privacy right.
However, opting out of communications or data sharing may affect our ability to:
• Respond to your inquiry;
• Connect you with providers;
• Provide requested information or facilitate a requested connection with participating providers;
• Provide certain Site functionality; or
• Communicate information about products or services.
Any difference in service will be reasonably related to the information or communication permission necessary to provide the requested feature.
20. Complaints Concerning Unwanted Communications
To report a communication that you believe was sent after a valid opt-out, email:
hello@askwhaley.com
Use the subject line:
UNWANTED COMMUNICATION COMPLAINT
Please provide, where available:
• Your name;
• Telephone number or email address contacted;
• Date and approximate time of the communication;
• Type of communication;
• Name displayed by the sender or caller;
• The company identified during the communication;
• Date and method of your earlier opt-out;
• Screenshot, message copy, or caller information; and
• Any other details that may help us investigate.
Providing these details is optional, but it may help us identify the relevant campaign, vendor, or independent partner.
We may use the information to investigate the communication, enforce partner requirements, maintain suppression records, respond to your request, and fulfill legal obligations.
21. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Policy periodically to reflect:
• Changes in applicable law;
• Regulatory guidance;
• Our communication practices;
• New communication technologies;
• Changes to our services; or
• Operational requirements.
The revised Policy will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date.
A revision to this Policy does not restore marketing consent that you previously revoked.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent before making material changes to how we contact you.
