DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION / YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
Last Updated: August 25, 2026
This page explains how eligible consumers may exercise rights to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or other covered processing of personal information by Dralic Inc. d/b/a WhaleMaven, operator of AskWhaley (“WhaleMaven,” “AskWhaley,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
AskWhaley is an online advertising, marketing, lead-generation, referral, and call-connection platform.
Depending on the service you request, the choices you make, applicable consumer disclosures or consent, and applicable law, AskWhaley may disclose personal information to independent participating third parties, which may include lenders, financial-service providers, insurance companies, insurance agencies or agents, home-security companies, contractors, home-service companies, lead purchasers, call purchasers, marketplaces, aggregators, advertising partners, Marketing Partners, and other participating providers.
Certain disclosures or uses of personal information may constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” “cross-context behavioral advertising,” or similar activity under applicable state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged specifically for an individual item of personal information.
Not every disclosure of personal information is legally considered a sale or sharing.
This notice should be read together with our Privacy Policy, applicable Notices at Collection, and other consumer-facing privacy disclosures.
1. Your Right to Opt Out
Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the right to direct AskWhaley not to:
• Sell your personal information;
• Share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
• Process your personal information for targeted advertising;
• Engage in certain profiling where an applicable law provides an opt-out right; or
• Engage in other covered processing from which applicable law gives you a right to opt out.
Where applicable, AskWhaley will honor valid opt-out requests as required by law.
An applicable opt-out will be applied to covered activity after your request becomes effective, subject to applicable legal exceptions and consumer-directed requests described below.
You do not need to purchase anything or pay a fee to exercise an applicable privacy right.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
2. Activities That May Constitute Sale or Sharing
AskWhaley's business involves helping consumers request information and connect with independent companies that may provide products or services.
Depending on your request, choices, applicable disclosures or consent, and applicable law, personal information may be disclosed to or used in connection with participating:
• Payday, short-term, personal, or installment-loan providers;
• Other financial-service providers;
• Auto-insurance providers;
• Homeowners- or renters-insurance providers;
• Insurance agencies, agents, producers, brokers, or marketplaces;
• Home-security companies;
• Alarm companies;
• Home-security monitoring companies;
• Home-security dealers or installers;
• Smart-home security providers;
• Roofing companies;
• HVAC providers;
• Plumbing providers;
• Solar providers;
• Window and door providers;
• Home-warranty providers;
• Pest-control companies;
• Remodeling companies;
• Other home-service or home-improvement providers;
• Providers of other products or services you request or affirmatively select;
• Lead purchasers;
• Call purchasers;
• Lead marketplaces;
• Call marketplaces;
• Call-routing or distribution platforms;
• Aggregators;
• Advertising networks;
• Affiliate or publisher partners;
• Marketing Partners; and
• Advertising, attribution, analytics, or technology partners.
This list describes potential categories of recipients across AskWhaley's services. It does not mean that every consumer's information is disclosed to every category or every participating company.
Certain transfers to participating providers, lead purchasers, call buyers, marketplaces, advertising partners, or Marketing Partners may constitute a “sale” under applicable privacy law.
Certain uses of cookies, pixels, advertising identifiers, APIs, or similar technologies may constitute “sharing,” cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising.
3. Your Opt-Out Does Not Become Consent for Another Product
Submitting an opt-out request does not authorize AskWhaley to use your information for another product or service.
Likewise, if AskWhaley is unable to connect you with a participating provider for an original request, the rejection, expiration, non-purchase, or inability to fulfill that request does not by itself constitute your affirmative request for another product or service.
AskWhaley may present you with an opportunity to consider an additional or alternative product or service.
Where applicable, information may be used to process that additional request when you affirmatively request, select, express interest in, or otherwise provide applicable consent for the additional product or service.
A negative response, failure to select an option, or failure to affirmatively indicate interest will not by itself be treated as a request for that additional product or service.
4. Consumer-Directed Requests After an Opt-Out
An opt-out does not necessarily prevent AskWhaley from processing information when you later affirmatively request or direct AskWhaley to provide a particular product, service, or connection, where that processing or disclosure is permitted by applicable law.
For example, after opting out you may later:
• Submit a new request for auto-insurance information;
• Request information regarding a loan or financial product;
• Request home-security information;
• Request a home service;
• Place a telephone call seeking a particular service; or
• Affirmatively request information about an additional product or service presented to you.
Where permitted by applicable law, AskWhaley may process and disclose information reasonably necessary and proportionate to fulfill that particular consumer-directed request.
For example, if you request home-security information and separately indicate that you also want information about home insurance, AskWhaley may process information relevant to that additional home-insurance request.
Similarly, if you request auto-insurance information and separately request information concerning auto refinancing or another financial product, information relevant to that request may be processed in accordance with applicable disclosures and consent.
A consumer-directed request for a particular product or service does not automatically cancel your broader privacy preference.
Where separate consent or authorization is required for calls, text messages, emails, credit inquiries, sensitive-information disclosures, or another activity, that consent or authorization is governed by the specific disclosure presented to you.
5. Sensitive Personal Information
An opt-out from sale or sharing is separate from any protections applicable to sensitive personal information.
Depending on the applicable product or form, AskWhaley may collect information such as:
• Social Security Number or portions thereof;
• Bank-account or routing information;
• Financial-account information;
• Government-issued identifiers; or
• Other information classified as sensitive under applicable law.
Sensitive information collected for one consumer request is not automatically authorized for every other product, service, campaign, or commercial purpose.
In particular, Social Security Numbers, bank-account or routing information, financial-account credentials, government-issued identifiers, and similar sensitive information will not ordinarily be disclosed to an unrelated provider solely because that information was collected for an earlier request.
Sensitive information may be disclosed for another purpose only where reasonably necessary and proportionate to that purpose and otherwise permitted by applicable law and any applicable authorization or consent.
Where applicable law provides a separate right to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, you may exercise that right through the privacy-choice mechanisms provided by AskWhaley.
6. Marketing Partners
AskWhaley maintains a centralized Marketing Partners list identifying participating companies where appropriate.
The list may be updated periodically as participating relationships begin, end, or change.
Inclusion on the Marketing Partners list does not mean that every Marketing Partner receives information about every consumer or receives every category of information maintained by AskWhaley.
Information disclosed to a Marketing Partner depends on the applicable consumer request, expressed interest, applicable disclosure, consent or authorization, product or service involved, nature of the relationship, and applicable law.
7. How to Submit an Opt-Out Request
You may submit an applicable opt-out request through the:
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information / Your Privacy Choices
link or privacy-choice mechanism available through the AskWhaley Site.
You may also email:
hello@askwhaley.com
using the subject line:
DO NOT SELL OR SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION
Please provide only information reasonably necessary for us to identify records associated with your request, which may include:
• Full name;
• Email address;
• Telephone number;
• State of residence; and
• A clear statement that you wish to opt out of applicable sale or sharing.
Please do not send Social Security Numbers, complete bank-account information, passwords, payment-card information, or copies of government identification documents by ordinary email.
If additional information is legally necessary, we may request it through an appropriate process.
We will not require you to create an account solely to submit an opt-out request.
8. What Happens After You Opt Out
After receiving and processing a valid opt-out request, AskWhaley will, to the extent required by applicable law:
• Stop applicable future sales of personal information associated with your request;
• Stop applicable sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising;
• Stop applicable processing for targeted advertising;
• Apply applicable profiling opt-outs where required;
• Record your request in our privacy-preference or suppression systems;
• Apply your preference prospectively to covered activities; and
• Take other actions required by applicable privacy law.
Where technically and legally applicable, we may communicate your privacy preference to relevant systems, processors, service providers, or other parties used to implement the preference.
We may maintain information reasonably necessary to record and continue honoring your privacy choice.
9. What an Opt-Out Does Not Necessarily Do
An opt-out from sale or sharing does not necessarily:
• Delete information already collected;
• Cancel an inquiry previously submitted;
• Cancel a transaction or service you previously requested;
• Require an independent third party to return information previously and lawfully received;
• Require an independent third party to delete information it independently maintains;
• Automatically stop communications from an independent provider that received information before your opt-out became effective;
• Prevent processing reasonably necessary to fulfill a new request you subsequently and affirmatively make;
• Prevent disclosures to service providers, contractors, or processors where the disclosure is not legally treated as a sale or sharing;
• Prevent fraud-prevention, security, verification, or compliance activities;
• Prevent legally required disclosures;
• Prevent AskWhaley from maintaining records necessary to document and honor your opt-out; or
• Prevent other processing that applicable law does not treat as sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or other covered processing subject to an opt-out.
If you wish to request access, correction, deletion, portability, limitation of certain sensitive-information uses, or another privacy right, please follow the applicable procedures described in our Privacy Policy or privacy-choice mechanism.
10. Information Previously Provided to Independent Third Parties
Participating providers that received information before your opt-out became effective may maintain their own copies.
Independent providers may maintain their own privacy policies, databases, communication systems, retention requirements, legal obligations, and consumer-rights procedures.
AskWhaley does not control independent third-party systems.
Where applicable law requires AskWhaley to communicate an opt-out or take another action regarding previously disclosed information, we will take the actions required of us.
Otherwise, you may need to contact the applicable independent provider directly concerning information already lawfully received or communications made independently by that provider.
11. Marketing Communications Are Separate
A request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising is not necessarily the same as a request to stop marketing communications.
To stop AskWhaley marketing emails, use the unsubscribe mechanism contained in the applicable email.
To stop applicable AskWhaley marketing text messages, you may use the opt-out method provided in the message, including replying STOP where applicable.
To request that AskWhaley stop marketing calls made by or on behalf of AskWhaley, you may communicate your request using a reasonable method permitted by applicable law.
Independent providers that previously received your information may maintain their own marketing and communication preferences.
You may need to communicate an opt-out directly to those providers.
12. Service Providers and Other Permitted Disclosures
Even after an opt-out, AskWhaley may disclose or process personal information where permitted by applicable law with parties that help us:
• Operate the Site;
• Host or store information;
• Process consumer-directed requests;
• Provide website functionality;
• Route or track telephone calls;
• Maintain CRM systems;
• Detect fraud or abuse;
• Validate information;
• Maintain consent records;
• Maintain suppression or opt-out records;
• Provide security;
• Process privacy requests;
• Conduct legally permitted analytics;
• Maintain compliance records;
• Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
• Respond to lawful governmental requests; or
• Protect our rights, consumers, providers, systems, or the public.
Where applicable, service providers, contractors, or processors may be subject to contractual restrictions concerning their processing of personal information.
13. Cookies, Advertising Technologies and Targeted Advertising
AskWhaley and certain advertising, analytics, attribution, or technology partners may use technologies including:
• Cookies;
• Pixels;
• Web beacons;
• Tags;
• Advertising identifiers;
• Analytics technologies;
• APIs;
• Server-side tracking; and
• Similar technologies.
Depending on applicable law and how a technology operates, disclosures through these technologies may constitute sale, sharing, cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising.
Where required by applicable law, your applicable opt-out preference will be applied to covered activities.
Additional cookie or privacy controls may also be available through the Site or your browser.
14. Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where required by applicable law, AskWhaley recognizes qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), as requests to opt out of applicable sale or sharing for the browser or device transmitting the signal.
A browser-based signal generally applies to the browser or device through which it is transmitted.
Where we are able to associate a qualifying signal with additional personal information or an account and applicable law requires us to do so, we will apply the preference accordingly.
Because a browser signal may not identify information previously submitted through another browser, another device, another email address, a telephone call, or another interaction, you may separately submit an opt-out request if you want AskWhaley to identify additional applicable records.
15. Verification
AskWhaley will not require identity verification beyond what is reasonably necessary or permitted for the applicable opt-out request.
We may request basic information necessary to identify records associated with your request.
We may contact you if information is insufficient to locate applicable records, conflicts with our records, or we reasonably believe a request may be fraudulent.
Information collected to process a privacy request will be used for that purpose and other purposes permitted by applicable law.
Access, deletion, correction, or other privacy requests may require additional identity verification.
16. Authorized Agents
Where permitted by applicable law, an authorized agent may submit an applicable privacy request on your behalf.
We may request reasonable evidence that the agent is authorized to act for you.
Where permitted by law, we may also contact you directly to verify your identity or confirm authorization of the agent.
17. Renewed Consent and New Consumer Requests
After an applicable opt-out becomes effective, AskWhaley will not ask you to authorize sale or sharing again before the period permitted by applicable law.
Where California law applies, we will not request authorization to opt back in to sale or sharing for at least twelve (12) months after your opt-out unless applicable law permits otherwise.
You may nevertheless independently choose to make a new consumer-directed request or provide new authorization where permitted by applicable law.
A new request for a particular product or service does not automatically cancel an existing privacy preference except to the extent clearly disclosed and permitted by applicable law.
18. No Unlawful Discrimination
AskWhaley will not unlawfully discriminate against you because you exercise a privacy right available under applicable law.
Because AskWhaley operates a lead-generation, referral, and call-connection platform, some privacy choices may affect our ability to provide particular functionality.
For example, if applicable law treats a particular transfer to a participating provider as a sale and you have opted out, AskWhaley may be unable to make that particular transfer unless the consumer subsequently directs the transfer or another applicable legal basis or exception permits it.
This is not a penalty for exercising your privacy rights.
19. Other State Privacy Rights
The rights described on this page are not limited to California.
Depending on applicable law, residents of other U.S. states may have rights relating to:
• Sale of personal information;
• Targeted advertising;
• Certain profiling;
• Sensitive personal information; and
• Other covered processing.
AskWhaley will honor applicable privacy rights as required by laws that apply to WhaleMaven and the requesting consumer.
Additional information is available in our Privacy Policy.
20. Processing Time
AskWhaley will process opt-out requests within the period required by applicable law.
Where California law applies, requests to opt out of sale or sharing will be processed as soon as feasibly possible and within the legally required period.
We may maintain records reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance and continue honoring your preference.
21. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice periodically to reflect changes in applicable law, our services, privacy practices, technology, or privacy-choice mechanisms.
The “Last Updated” date identifies the latest revision.
A change to this notice does not retroactively create consumer consent or authorization where applicable law requires separate affirmative consent.
